I don't even know who the **** this guy is but with a name like Rigo he sounds like a ****** hairdresser.
What is all this fuss over Rigo getting dropped?

I think they will step, but next year or the year after. What could happen though is that when these fights happen, Rigo could well be declining rapidly or out of prime and lose, which some people would see as vindication for calling him overrated now.Hes 34 and the majority of top guys in his division are avoiding him, won every fight clearly, yet hes a bum, people criticize for the sake of it.
However I'm happy to run with it - Rigo got dropped twice, he was exposed, he's not the fighter we think he is and is overrated. If that's the case and Rigo isn't really that good then the other guys can step up and fight him can't they?Comment

Out there amongst the bricks and mortar I don't often encounter the kind of tribal group mentality surrounding boxers that seems to be pervasive on the internet. Maybe that's because it's a niche sport so there isn't as much opportunity to group together but I've always found it a little strange when people follow boxing like they would a team sport.
It's more of an individual endeavour after all and careers are short lived. There isn't the same kind of scope for entrenched regional and generational ties where we start to define who we are by who we are not. I can understand a Manchester United fan not giving a Liverpool fan an inch and vice versa, but doing that with boxers seems a little forced.Comment

This is can happen sometimes when you get caught by fighters 20+ lbs heavier. Amagasa is a big puncher and a 126 lb fighter. The fact that Rigo got up and busted him up tells me more about Rigo's greatness/
Rigo is forced to fight giants because cowards like Frampton, Quigg and LSC won't fight him.Comment

I don't care what anyone says. Rigondeaux is the best boxer in the world.
How many times has he been knocked out? When has he ever looked seriously hurt? All of his knockdowns have been because he got caught off balance and because he is much smaller than most opponents the weight of the punches pushes more easily.
He always gets back up and comes with a vengeance. No.1 P4P for sure. I love watching him fight, and when he shoots out that straight left, its a pleasure to watch.Comment

1) Amagasa came into the ring weighing 145 poundsI think the reason is because he got knocked down silly off what looks almost like a jab, from some super skinny feather fisted Japanese bum. Rigo should start fighting at 126 and 130. If he is so good, why he no move up in weight like the greats?
In boxing its kill or be killed. You best belie dis.
2) He ate a sharp right hand off balance. It wasn't strong, but Rigo was off balance and it landed clean. That's how easy it is to get knocked down in the pro's if you don't have your feet under you.
3) I'm sure he would not be the only great to have never moved up in weight. I don't see what's wrong with that(On the flipside he also can't complain about people moving up in weight to duck him).Comment
