Broner is your dime a dozen monkey. He is so fat, it is obvious he is not going to last long in the sport. He also will surely retire broke like most african athletes.
Since the Maidana loss all he does is talk. Surely, he could make the rematch if he wanted, but noway his team ever lets him fight Maidana again.

"Mr. Balboa what do you think about facing Ivan Drago? Will you avenge your friend's death?"
"No. It's too risky. I'd like to thank Al Haymon." *Gets into limo with Rod Salka driving*

Back in September, junior welterweights Lucas Matthysse (36-3, 34KOs) and Adrien Broner (29-1, 22KOs) were featured in separate Showtime televised fights from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.
After Broner won his main event over Emmanuel Taylor, he called for a fight with Matthysse. Viewers believed the two boxers were placed on the card to promote a possible future meeting.
Besides Broner calling him out on television, Matthysse has not heard anything regarding the fight.
The continued silence on facing Broner is no problem for Matthysse, who if more focused on winning a world title at 140-pounds. Matthysse, ranked in the number one position under the WBO and also holder of the WBC silver title, wants to get a title shot on a tentative return date of February 28th.
"Broner talked about [a fight with me] on the day that we fought on the same card [and there has been nothing since then]. He is not a defending champion...he has nothing...it would just be a fight where you are taking risks for nothing more than getting your hand raised as the winner," Matthysse said.
I would rather wait for a title shot before fighting Matthysse,” said Stafford of Matthysse, who, like Broner, is advised by Al Haymon. “Plus, Matthysse is with Al, so we’ve got plenty of time. Matthysse ain’t going nowhere, you know what I’m saying?”
Matthysse's general indifference towards a matchup nobody has any interest in making = him ducking doe.
