Because it would be a disgrace to the sport if 2 welterweights meet in a pointless rematch for the lineal MW title that the real best middleweight has been waiting years for a shot at.

This is a cherry pick. Plain and simple. "For da MW title doe" well Floyd should've fought Martinez.

Fight Manny or **** off from your May date.
manny is not allowed to fight on that date, his daddy said so

I see Mayweather can't fight Cotto in a rematch for the MW title, He can't fight on his May 2 date because it belong to Mexicans... Is there anything he is allow to do without something made out of it? And please I don't want to hear Pac because we all know that fight is NOT happening.

To me neither Floyd nor Cotto belong in the middle weight division, and neither should be allowed to fight for any middle weight title unless at the full weight. I feel that way about all the weights though, and think catch-weights suck and are a chicken**** way to do business.

Boxing went from 8 weights to 17, and we still need catch-weight fights? What a joke. Maybe we should increase it to 34 weights, and add a few more belts?

Sure, fight him, whatever. It ain't nutting but a stream to me anyways, lol. I understand why they would fight each other but I've seen it before and personally, I think Floyd does better in the rematch so, besides some belt that he isn't going to defend at 160 anyways, why is it special? I'd rather see a fresh fight that can provide some meaning to a weight class that the opponent is actually going to continue to fight in.

Great thread. These ******s will justify it because he's another weak title holder.

Cotto is a shet fight he got beat comprehensively despite putting up a valiant effort.

Let's see LOL Cotto will be even more comfortable at this ''healthier weight

It's just as bad as Vargas he'd be facing a guy he CLEARLY beat.

Remember when you said Floyd was too small for middleweight? Did he suddenly grow?

Oh but now he's about to lose his May date "it's a big fight now doe" it's not.

2 fights left and you guys want him to fight someone he already beat.
They're not boxing fans, they're groupie bumsniffs more interested in his PPV numbers and fight purse than how credible opponents and matchups are for him.
