Here's the thing. Why are folks dumping on Amir here for indicating that he will wait only so long. He doesn't want his name dangled like before. He seems to be trying to avoid being played again. That's exactly what happened with Mayweather last year. He's not in a position to make demands, but is in one to say he will only wait so long. Now, if mid January comes and goes and he continues to wait then by all ears dump on the guy for playing himself. Until then, he's just looking out for himself. Not a problem in my eyes.
Sure - like Floyd or Pac could totally shut out Alexander or even Collazo for that matter? Sure they'd win but it probably wouldn't be total shut out.
You underestimate Khan's skills when he actually uses his boxing skills for 12 rounds instead of trying to be a head hunting knockout king.
Most people agree now that Khan has a good shot against anyone at 147 and that includes both Pac and Floyd. Why you think Floyd already ducked Khan twice and fought someone Khan already beat instead? It doesn't take a brain surgeon to work that one out, my friend.
Floyd and Pac wouldn't shut out Collazo?
That's some sig-worthy levels of ******ity right there.
as much as i dislike the way they operate, haymon and floyd must have laughed their asses off at khan's recent comments
khan giving deadlines, wtf
They may have done, but to the casuals and public it appears that Floyd isn't the man anymore. Pac and Khan have both said they won't wait, Canelo and Cotto is still on the cards, so does boxing still need floyd? He is nearly finished anyway and if he did fight Cotto again, what would be the point? He clearly UD'ed him last time out.
Seems to me He wants to cruise into retirement on past glories, maybe not. But either way boxing was fine before him and will be fine after (if not better).
