If Haymon has the biggest stable in the history of the sport, it's a much bigger problem than the hypocrisy of a commentator and deserves more attention.

Yes, sure other promoters have protected their fighters to one degree or another and that was fcked up. They started this fcked up ball rolling. Now Arum is at the end of his career. Haymon is fairly recent in boxing and is seemingly making that policy his cornerstone and if he's gonna' team up with Schafer, they potentially could run the sport to a degree yet unseen (or not? would be happy to entertain other ideas?). The endgame is his guys wring money out of the fans for another generation of fighters or two, but eventually they kill the golden goose and boxing becomes truly a niche sport.

Would like to hear Haymon's side of the story, however.

Anyway, Lampley's hypocrisy is stepping on a Lego. The continuation and expansion of the best avoiding the best is cancer.

At some point I'm gonna' stop spending my money. How about you?
And why can the best avoid the best? Because people will shovel down the crap they're spoon fed, so long as they like the person holding the spoon.

As for spending money, it isn't an issue for me. I live in the UK. If I lived in American, I wouldn't spend money on majority of the fights put on PPV.

    • Let's be honest ole P-u-n-k zza Lampley and the rest of the old racist clowns are showing their true colors when it come to Haymon and the main guy in boxing Floyd Mayweather. IMO if Al Haymon was Bob Arum he would be singing a different tune. It's no secret that race is playing a big role in the way people like Lampley and the rest are reacting to the top management or fighter in the sport. They had no problem with Oscar getting what he wanted when he was top dog and picking his opponents. Even his manager was considered some guru until guys k Ikea Haymon came on the scene and started getting fighters their proper financial rewards. Lampley and his supporters should except the fact there's a new Sheriff in town and their way of doing things are over.....

      • The observation by Lampley is shared by millions of boxing fans; this is no secret. Lampley merely bought this issue to the forefront to give it the attention it rightfully deserves. It's also no secret Floyd has carefully selected opponents to make him look better than he actually is. He's been doing this his whole career. Can millions of observers who hold the same view be so incorrect about what they see? Of course not. Only those people who are biased and not true boxing fans would be against the best fighting the best. To those people, who actually have no point of reference, if we speak our mind we're accused of being racist. But, if we kiss their ass and say everything is hunky dory when it's really not, then we're considered in the know and not racist. However, that's not the way it goes in real life. What is going on in boxing, especially where Haymon is concerned is an injustice to the sport but more so to the millions of boxing fans who by their participation in PPV have made these folks such as Haymon, Floyd and their families rich beyond their imagination. They are accountable to the boxing fans and there are many ways to demonstrate our dissatisfaction, such as Floyd is witnessing with his PPV numbers nose diving in this last two fights. Need I say more.

        • Arum does what Haymon does? If he did Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, Mosley would have never fought each other. The only mistake he made recently was not having Juanma and Gamboa fight when both were undefeated. Donaire and Rigo fought. Pavlik moved up and fought Hopkins. It's not even close. Top Rank is excellent at moving their fighters a long while they are young.

Get out of here with the race card crapola, this has to do with this idiot destroying boxing with his ridiculous match-ups where his fighters are matched against low level opponents that are guaranteed wins for his fighters. He will be ran out of the sport when Showtime dumps his arse and Dela Hoya gets finished with him in court. Good riddance I say, and race has NOTHING to do with it. If Haymon was green with polka dots I could care less. It is just a matter of time, bank on it....

            • Haymon's laughing at these haters. HBO will be the only network that Haymon won't be doing his series on and they hate it. But HBO caused it by severing ties with Al. Haymon's PBC series starts the Haymon takeover lol.
