TBH, I don't really care if TBE is blocking the fight.

I'd rather see TBE stay ducking and can't wait to see him gone. Rewarding a boring, retiring, vacationing boxer with truckloads of money for running, clinching, UD'ying will be the biggest injustice of all. I'd rather see the fight blocked and let TBE's ducking rep remain solid. Pac will make him run, anyway. It will be similar to the Mosley fight. So fight doesn't have to happen. It's a comfortable win for the world's superstar of boxing. Precisely the reason why this fight never happened. TBE is scared.
This is exactly how Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum feel too.

Why do you care which network is dominating or not? It's just television. Next it'll be NBC versus Fox. Bob Arum has intentionally prevented the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight from happening and that's the only reason you guys have such a hard on for Al Haymon. It's such an obvious deflection ploy that a child could see it. Let the denial continue.

Screw the Pac-Floyd fight, let Floyd fight Khan. Hymen takes all of these boxers with potential and he sets them on the shelf so that we get Stevenson-TBA or Garcia-Salka or Thurman-some 40 year old. It's cool doe because that crap he has going on is steadily imploding on itself. He isn't going to make this NBC thing work because he'll demand too much money and the viewership won't be there. The crowds that routinely watch those networks watch them for other reasons, they won't know who the boxers are and will turn the channel once they realize Law and Order or the Voice isn't coming on next. I like to watch exciting boxing matches between the sports top athletes and Hymen's game is preventing that from happening. No deflection needed as I just spelled it out for you.

**** the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight. Let TBE fight Garcia. He can have Salka for all I care. Anyone but Pacquiao. I'll celebrate on the day of TBE's retirement without Pac in his resume.

            • More official journalists should be calling out Haymon's strategy like this. Arum is not quite as bad. He does stay within his recruits but he does try to get the most competitive fight within his group. Haymon totally avoids matching his top guys.

              • I have always thought Lampley was full of s....t. I still do and this blog post justifies my dislike of him. His crticism of Haymon is typical and he does makes some good points. However, he failed to point out how Haymon has helped his boxers get bigger purses and avoid being jerked around by promoters and that none of his fighters have criticized Haymon or left him as they have promoters like Arum. He failed to point out that Haymon has helped Floyd Mayweather become the biggest attraction in sports and richest boxer in history.

In addition, I have never seen Lampley criticize a promoter, especially Bob Arum, the way he crticicizes Haymon and Mayweather. He knows better and is very targeted in his attacks. He hasn't said a negative word about Pacquaio fighting sparring partner caliber fighters like Rios and Algieri and he never will because he knows better.

The reason 130 fighters have signed with Haymon is because promoters are screwing them over. If the promoters treated these fighters fairly, they wouldn't have to sign with Haymon.

And last, but not least, Lampley is full of s....t because he knowing takes liberties with the truth. Case in point. His comment about Haymon carefully guiding Mayweather towards safe fights with guys like Genaro Hernandez and Oscar De La Hoya. He didn't consider De La Hoya a safe fight for Mayweather at the time Mayweather fought Oscar, and Lampley call the defeat of De La Hoya one of the greatest victories he had ever seen when Pacquaio beat him. So how can he be safe for Mayweather and a great victory for Pacquaio? Simple! The person who made the comment is full of s...t!

Also, Genaro Hernandez was a world champion with only one defeat when Mayweather defeated him. In addition Mayweather was not working with Al Haymon when he fought Hernandez. Lampley knew this, but still implied that Haymon guided Mayweather to Hernandez in a safe fight.

Because that was the only way he could take cheap shots at him and Mayweather.

Keep in mind, this is the same clown who refused to name Marquez's KO of Lampley's hero, Manny Pacquaio, as the KO of the Year because of the internet rumors (mostly on this message board) about Marquez using PEDS. Not only did he refuse to name it the KO of the Year, he made a point of stating why he refused to name it KO of the Year.

What do you expect from someone like that?

Same applies for Mayweather fights. He is not an action fighter and as entertainment his calculating defensive style is boring. But you hype it up by having him and his family create controversy and make people really want him to lose a fight against a low risk opponent. People will complain that the show is boring once it starts but the money is already being counted.
You are full of s..t just like Lampley. There are no false promises in a Mayweather fight and the only people who complain are haters like you who don't even pay to watch the damn fight. Anybody who is a fan of boxing knows exactly what Mayweather's style is and they know the skill level of his opponent. Yet, twice as many people are willing to pay to watch Mayweather beat a guy to the punch for 12 rounds as there are who are willing to watch Manny Pacquaio knock down sparring partner caliber fighters six times.

In business sometimes it's cold but at the end it is all about making money and enhancing your legacies and so forth. Ali said everything messed up you can say to a person about Joe Frazier AFTER Frazier helped Ali through some troubling times but Frazier just took it out on Ali in the ring. I boxing the fighters talk $#!t about each other all the time but if the $#!t ain't true then you just keep it moving and make the fight(s) happen. You're cosigning Manny being in his feelings.
