at least let him have and win a big fight before we start talking about best in the world give me a break my guess is he will use that to fight andy lee next does anyone honestly want to see ggg fight another overmatched opponent? i sure as hell dont

As far as GGG earning the world middleweight title goes if Cotto ever stepped into the ring with GGG he would KO Cotto within 4 rounds. I doubt anyone would bet a dime on Cotto to beat the uncrowned champion.

          that's to keep the balance
          Popularity: Chavez>GGG>Ward
besides we all know that ward needs 2 tune ups before facing GGG

A guy like Ward will always beat GGG. I'm more a fan of GGG than Ward, but Ward is too good for him. He knocks out Rubio, Macklin etc and now he's dogging Ward? Gtfoh

It smells like the time people on this forum said Matthysse would smash Garcia and would then walk right through Mayweather

I mean ***ing hell. The boner some guys get when they see a guy who can punch.

Ward's a proven hypocrite anyways. Said he wouldn't fight Bute in Oakland because Bute hadn't fought anybody yet and he's just hype. Now he's letting everybody know he wants to fight a guy in the division below him because he thinks he's all hype and needs to prove himself....

Ward also said after the S6 he was willing to go up to 175, not to campaign there, but for the 'right' fight. Then two years later turns down multi-million dollar offers to fight Stevenson & Kovalev.

My favorite was when Ward told everyone that he and Chavez would be a tremendous fight, then six months later when Froch negotiates with Chavez, Ward accuses Froch of taking the easy route.
Were talking Ward/GGG, its been some time since S6 & i dont see what bute has to do with a GGG/Ward fight..or a stevenson and kovalev, froch or chavez..wtf that gotta do with ggg/ward?

The difference there is that Martinez is in the same division as GGG and GGG was chasing a fight with him. Ward is in a different division and is not chasing a fight with GGG.
The latest word from Ward's side about this was that he would need a couple of tune ups first. So say are in fact saying the same thing as GGG - "The time is not right."

You're correct, it's been sometime since the S6, yet that's all Ward has to hold on too. HBO won't approve Froch/Golovkin because it's not ppv ready, despite both men being available and willing to fight. Same with Ward/Golovkin, which has been the point brought up by Gennady in that recent interview/quote, and by Loeffler and Herman.

If we look at the history of Ward and Golovkin, Ward's the one with a track record of backing away from big fights - Bute after the S6 and LHW's Stevenson & Kovalev (remember how he said he was willing to go up and fight Hopkins?).

How is floyd moving up 2 weight classes when he is a champ at 154? Ignorance is bliss.
