He would get exposure when fighting the King.

Then I will get to see Vladimir in a German Arena vs Fury . See that fat sack of **** on spaghetti legs finally

Competition stinks and he's not entertaining?

Look at all fighters of the year - they almost always win when getting one over a major rival. Wlad's shot at FOTY came in 2011, but he stunk the place out.

To think a guy like Jennings is top ranked these days. If you call a top 10 ranking top ranked.

The guy is as basic as they come and will get wiped with. Obviously Wlad is not going to the states because he's being a true champion. It's a money move.

It's possible that he clears the chessboard this year. Jennings - kind of a filler fight but I've been following Jennings so I'm not complaining...The idea of Wilder/Stiverne and Fury would be awesome. Nobody can come back and say he didn't get to Haye or Povetkin either..it's all setting up well. Hopefully these fights are good

I reckon Jennings is getting the fight for the following reasons:

            - He is high ranked in the WBC, in fact if i'm not mistaken, he is the next mandatory contender for the belt? If and when Wlad gets rid of him, he will free himself up more for the unification.

            - He is the best AVAILABLE American opponent and he needs a US opponent for a fight to get some attention in the States...and casuals will see Jennings as an athletic, undefeated guy fighting the HW champ and tune in

This is actually not true. First because Wlad has a mandatory, but let's assume he gets an extension for a unification fight and he's beaten Jennings - Then the WBC will most likely match the two next highest ranked opponents for a final eliminator as Jennings gives up his mandatory spot by fighting Klitschko.

                Fair point.

And my guess is that winner of Stiverne and Wilder will advocate for a voluntary and that will either be against a no hoper or against Fury - if they don't have a mandatory. Especially if Wilder wins.

I just can't see them fighting Wlad straight away. both of them would get brutally smashed.
