Floyd fought the rematch the same way he fought the rematch with Castillo. If Floyd legs were gone how come he basically ran most of the fight with Maidana watch that 12th round does that look like a guy who had shot legs? he was running that entire round almost like how sugar ray ran against duran in the rematch. Was sugar ray shot or diminished in the first duran fight? no he just fought Durans fight and tried to trade with him and lost because he fought the wrong fight, in the rematch he was moving around and clowning Duran. Floyd fought MAidana fight in the first and in the rematch he used the similar strategy of Leonard to move and not get in exchanges off the ropes if possible.

Floyd is not untouchable, people have this delusion that he never gets hit, he gets hit, watch the Augustus fight when Floyd was still young and youthful, this is the reason Floyd doesn't throw combos he was sloppy and getting hit a lot in exchanges, he would miss some shots as well.

Floyd just has trouble with super aggressive, pressure fighters who throw punches in bunches from odd angles.

Pacquiao is not a pressure fighter, Floyd will pot shot him with right hands all night.

Pac is the one who has deteriorated big time, his foot speed and stamina are not the same.
hes a professional fighter he should get hit. he has gotten hit pretty much every fight ive seen him in

Mayweather has but the real question is, how much of it was Maidana? If you watch the All Access they specifically planned on taking away Mayweather's offense, that planned worked for them successfully but Maidana's offense suffered as a result.

          Diminished?

I am not a complete Floyd lover but "ability diminished a lot" comments are just ******. Your ability diminishes a lot when you actually start losing fights. Now if you say diminished a bit then i can understand and so could everyone on earth considering he is knocking on his 40s.

Dude is almost 38 probably @ 85% of what he once was but that's enough to beat every other ww including Bradley

As far the comment about PACs win over Bradley being a better win than anything on mayweathers record is a bit far fetched

Bradley beat one top ten ww Marquez, who only beat one top ten welterweight

Don't try to pump up Bradley to benefit PAC....it was nothing more than a contender beating another contender with a trinket WBOgus belt on the line.

That fight meant no more in the ww division than khan v. Alexander or brook v. Porter contenders with trinkets or rankings on the line

Mayweather beat the number one guy at ww twice to be lineal twice...also beat number 2 and 3 ranked guys

The highest ranked guy PAC beat at ww was Bradley who looked like crap against an ESPN level fighter provodnikov n beat jmm....Mosley,odlh, Rios, cotto were all coming off loses or bad showings before PAC fought them also

A few years ago maidanna wouldn't have needed a rematch. He would have been a keep busy fight for floyd. Canelo would demolish maidana right now.

His assessment is correct. The longer the fight is prolonged the closer the odds get. If both fighters are diminishing it indeed begans to come down to who wants it the most. At the moment I still give the edge to Mayweather but this will be a good guy/bad guy fight. Expect Manny's star power to win him all the close rounds.
