    really shady stuff.
Golden Boy better be ready to put up +$50m in guaranteed money for "all of their fighters", because two can play that game.

Schaefer/Haymon did good business; Haymon had a top-notch outfit for his fighters to fight on and Schaefer was able to get access to near 85% of the fighters in boxing's marquee divisions while not having to carry the overhead of guaranteed contracts.

How many times does he have to do the same thing before people will see what his model is? He will market his chosen fighters to death in that shitty urban music star way and put them in a real fight once every two years. 18 months at best.

And that's what he does when he has competition. Imagine if he didn't?

You'd probably be looking at two competitive fights for his 'stars' over half a decade. With 3-4 series of 'About Billions' in between.

That's the Haymon value proposition. He sells 'personalities' to morons and fans of the real thing can go fuck themselves. Just like the music industry.

Haymon's 'big plans'. You know who else has big plans? Peter Quillin.
2014 saw Oscar De La Hoya boot Schaefer and spit in the face of Espinoza. While Schaefer is in litigation, Haymon did what he could to keep things in a holding pattern, still showcasing guys on Showtime.

Oscar settles the case, gets booted off of Showtime with his 20-40 fighters, and Espinoza, working with Mayweather/GYM/Dibella/Sampson/Goosen/Tyson/Warriors and Haymon, fills out the full slate of Showtime dates, with Schaefer acting as a consultant to help put together the big PPV fights.

I'm getting to the point where I am not interested in any Al Haymon fighters. And, I'm pretty certain he's bad for boxing. Example: danny garcia

I have a feeling it will be a big flop. A bunch of overpriced mismatches, at least Haymon is the one paying for them.

He ain't doing none of that. He's gonna match cans against his talent and ripoff the opponent when it is too close for comfort just like Arum does. Only problem is that more people will see it and get disgusted with boxing as a sport.

Haymon is marinating all big fights because he wants them on network TV.

That sounds like a legit plan to me that is completely in line with Haymon boxers' warrior mentality. War Haymon!
