When will they start advertising? 2015 is like 10 days away.

If Mayweather is part of this NBC deal, it makes me think it won't start until 2016 as Mayweather is with CBS for another two fights.

All you're going to have to do is watch a few more Garcia-Salkas, and you're not going to believe what he has for you then!
you say it as though the other promoters dont do the same thing the difference is haymons fighters are exposed to the public long before other fighters are and ya there are some bad match making back that goes with any promoter or manager not just haymon. Well see what happens once he gets to nbc but i think the fights will come. the difference between me and most cats on here is i dont like any of the promoters or managers i dont pick sides when it comes to that i think its honestly lame and any promoter who says he does things for the fans and what not is full of **** anyway. Arum oscar shaefer haymon take ur ****in pick they all move their fighters along slow as **** and match them easy until they can get an easy title fight I just think haymon gets more of the bad side one because of who his clients are and 2 because his fighters are already on tv as they are working their way up thru the system but thats the point man its a dream is all if they all fight under one banner there is no longer a reason to protect anyone that was the whole point of the thread

I think most people are missing a big factor in the NBC deal. Yes, he has dates on NBC SN, and 4 dates on regular NBC, but it was announced that he is planning an over-the-top network.

That's pretty much going to be a digital streaming offering which will likely be subscription based itself. I think Box Nation in the UK has this sort of model but I'm not certain if they offer digital viewing capabilities.

It's hard to say if it will succeed, but in any manner he's producing the content, he'll need to stop his 'witness protection' method of managing fighters and start putting them in competitive fights that fans want. No matter what the channel/medium is, if the customer base isn't being served, they wont support the product for too long.

Yes its a good thing, this isn't 1991 PPV can be gotten around easily anyway so its an outdated and really unfair format.

WWE implemented something similar and it flopped this year. Do you think boxing's fan base would welcome an all digital platform?

ya but it will probably be set up similar to wwe network where if u pay the monthly fee no extra charge for ppv everything on file to watch at anytime all that its actually the only real way to go to combat streaming i actually love that idea plus it gives us boxing fans a boxing channel i hope he follows thru with that

don't know much about haymon but he's not good for boxing or fans.

                    good for his boxers sure.

remember when hbo was real crappy a few years back? that was haymon with gbp.

same time showtime had some great ass fights.

everyone was saying sho was kicking hbo ass.

then hbo fired their boxing guy.

hbo re-did everything. haymon moved his guys to showtime.

showtime has been awful. hbo got better.

networks need to buy fights. good ones.

not buy stables without control of who those guys fight.

remember when all the FOTY were on sho? that's when they were buying individual fights not contracts with promoters.

boxing doesn't work on network tv.

the unpredictable length of fights is one. plus demographics of fans is not desirable. i.e. male and old
