cotto is an ATG, beating the lineal middle weight champ when you started your career at 140 will do that. he is in the same ilk of an ODLH, no doubt although prime for prime, odlh would get the better of him in a head to head.

At a CATCH WEIGHT and the guy was inactive coming off surgery. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great accomplishment due to the fact no other Rican has done it but the advantages take shine off it. Just saying.

Oscar has done something also no one has done. What Mexican/American/Latin fighter has won titles in 6 divisions? SIX!! That is TWO more than Cotto. Also fought the best while doing so and winning the majority of those fights.

Oscar was very popular in the USA so manythought that Oscar was robbed in the Trinidad fight but he wasn't robbed. Hell Oscar's hometown newspaper the LA Times scored the fight for Trinidad because he not only won the last 4 rounds when Oscar ran but he won a few of the first 8 rounds as well. Most neutral fans and experts thought Trinidad won or it was a draw. Trinidad offered Oscar an immediate rematch at 154 but Oscar turned it down. You are wrong. Oscar was a great fighter but Mosley and Trinidad were greater. When Oscar Fought Mayorga he had already been ruined by Trinidad and was just a shell. When Oscar beat Carr he had already been KOed by Trinidad. When Oscar beat Vargas he wasn't the same good fighter he was before Trinidad ruined him.

Relax,, I was just messing with you since you said don't quote me.. When you say don't quote me, an arsehole like will quote you the first chance we get..

              Honestly, your points are valid...

Mayorga got wrecked by tito, but how come after Oscar- shane, cotto, and Vargas all struggled with mayorga... My point was that nobody has ever walked in a destroyed mayorga with such ease, dropping him with the first combo in the fight... Before or after Oscar, no one has ever done that to mayorga..

Tito-Oscar being a draw, I really don't have a problem with that,, I have a problem with tito winning.

And I'm not trying to hype the oba Carr win,, just saying it was a solid win at the time over a top 10 welter... Similar to floyd beating Ortiz or ghost or Maidana.. All three of those guys had losses before floyd beat them,, Maidana and Ortiz both had horrible losses prior to the floyd fight (Devon for Marcos, marcos for Ortiz)

Oscar's courageous challenge of Hopkins was not as courageous as it appears. Oscar put a catchweight clause in the contract that said Hopkins had to weigh 158 or less or loss millions of dollars.. Oscar wanted to win the middleweight title without fighting a full middleweight. Hopkins was so worried about not making 158 that he came in at 156 which is damn near a Jr. middleweight. I can't prove it but I think Oscar could have gotten up from the body punch that ended that fight but he knew Hopkins would just beat him up some more.
