How Great Was Oscar De La Hoya?

Always been a bit of a De La Hoya fan. I've always felt he was better than the boxing public have you believe. I hold him higher than guys that got wins against him in his prime like Trinidad or Mosley.
    Anyway what are your opinions?

When hoya was cash cow, we never used the word "duck" or "boring".

Dam good. He fought all the tough challenges and even when he came up short he gave a good effort. I have a great deal of respect for Oscar and his achievements in the ring.

He shouldn't have run from Tito though...

Pretty great imo. For the era he was in. he fought absolutely everyone from Super feather to light middle and even sturm and hopkins at middleweight.

Sure he took some losses, but that happens when you fight the best.

De la hoya was one of the greatest and famous fighters that ever laced the gloves.

No he did not, it was soo close that mayweater only won by a close split.

Oscar was fare past his prime, and a alcoholic at that time, it would be like saying that Roy jones of today, is the same as 90`s royd.

Prime Oscar would punch floyds face in
