I'm not like some people who want him to die for things like this but it's not the type of person that I actively root for. Where a person like Ward I want to get to the point where people call him great, a person like Mayweather I want to see knocked back a notch. Just my opinion
That sounds pretty bad ass Good points.

If the guy is a ****ty person, granted our knowledge of fighters is all media based, then I'm rooting against him. I'm not a fan of Terrence crawfords style but he seems like a good dude, family oriented and gives to his community, so I root for him to do well. Now he could be a serial rapist for all I know, but we can only judge them by what we see and hear. So ya I root for guys who I think are good peeps and despise *******s, in or out of the ring.

Could really care less, some fighters bring their outside acts into the ring(Broner, Vargas) then I get some amusement when they get Sat on their a55. But as far as the guys that bring up hitting women or cheating on wives, get a life. What the *** that has to do with boxing.

I don't hold criminal history against them unless it's some heinous act. Boxing is always going to attract people from the margins

I don't care about political or social views. I might disagree and argue against their position, but I'm not upset if they express them. (Hate language excluded)Boxing is out in front on a lot of social issues so as fans we get exposed to a lot of touchy issues and go at each other throats in a much more open way than others do. Clash of cultures a lot of time
Yeah, this is my view too. Unless it's a heinous crime like ****, murder, domestic or child abuse then i may excuse it.

Nothing wrong with what you said, the only time it bothers me is when NSB's front page is flooded with fanboys(which is all of the time) bashing some great fighters. I know you made an excellent thread in the Lounge over NSB being shot to pieces but I think the core of this BS is the fans of fighters drowning out any logic in the forum with their childish idiocy.

I think most fanboys can't separate the personal life of a fighter, from the actual talent and athletic aspect of boxing. Sad

Depends how far they take it. For the most part i dont care about them cause after they are done with sport im done with them. I dont build a fake relationship with any athlete.

Now a team thats a different story.

                Go Colts!! Go A'S!!

Ward is not Mayweather and has a totally different personality...plus Floyd has been on top since the 90's and has done far more then Ward..why are we even comparing the 2?

Only if it affects their career in regard to what they give us, the fans...or if they're a ***** like Davey Hilton.

nope one of the dumbest things ever. I mean they get punched in the face for money, idk why you would expect them all to be outstanding citizens

just like the thread where stiverne told the lady to gtfo of his seat, and the op and most of the thread were crying wanting him to get put in a coma.. of course unless theyre a pedo or murderer.. jailhouse rules
