Does the personal life of a fighter affect...

Does the personal life of a fighter affect the way you view him as a professional athlete?

If so, why? If not, what do you think about those that do.

Personally I don't put too much into what goes outside of the ring when it comes to boxers. I love the sport, not a specific fighter.

Not that I recall. Don't get me wrong I would like certain fighters to lose but not over them saying/acting in a manner that doesn't sit well with me. I tend to dislike fighters for other reasons that don't really involve their personal life. Except for AB

David Haye is entertaining in the ring, at times, but an utter bore and **** outside of out.

Tyson Fury is entertaining outside of the ring but not so much inside it.

According to Kovalev , Adonis Stevenson is a piece of chit. That's good enough reason for me.

Well I think most Floyd/Pac fans are swayed by the public image of their respective fighter.

Sort of. Like if there was a Mexican-American fighter that I supported con el nopal en la frente y todo, and he said some anti-Mexican national s**t then I wouldn't support them anymore.

Like I don't get how a lot of these Pro-Black posters love Mayweather and spout Malcolm X s**t when their idol is a damn coon that says "What has Africa done for me?".

How the f**k do you idolize both Malcolm X and Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

I guess a fighter's personal life doesn't matter to them.

For the most part I don't really care about a fighter's personal life/opinions unless it's something that I feel very, very strongly about.

It's a matter of degrees. Mostly I don't care much, but if they are proved to be a murderer, a child rapist, etc, they lose my patronage.
