but espinoza would have a reason to lie too.

it's believable to me because his guarantee is so damn high.

    1mil ppv is $60-70 mill.

    floyd's guarantee is like 30+.

    it's possible.
Of that $60-70m, half goes to distributors/cable companies/etc.

That leaves with $30-35m for the rest including Floyd's guarantee. Showtime is losing money big time

Yeaaah...you kinda left about another $30m in gate, sponsorship and TV rights. Gate alone is another $15m.

        1mil x $70 ppv buys = $70 mil.

more than half goes to cable companies.

that's about $30-35 mil left from ppv revenue.

        floyd's guarantee is 30+.

what does showtime get? floyd's opponent? the fighters on the undercard? promotion cost? other costs for showtime production?

the gate/site fee is a separate thing. does showtime even get a piece of that?

I don't want to get into it but if Steven A Smith says this last fight cost Showtime $16 million. How would the first fight which had less buys and a much higher undercard purse make money?

Ask yourself...what is Showtime paying for? How much are they shelling out? For...TV show ads on their own channel? Think about it.

It's nuts. I mean, what is Showtime paying? Production cost? How the hell are they losing?
