Casual fans only follow "face first" fighters.. cause they tend to think that's the most excitement.. real boxing fans admire a boxing clinic.. vs good opposition... no need to "outbox" someone way below your talent level.. look at kahn.. he did way better than I thought.. THAT'S A BOXING CLINIC..
Everyone is biased towards their favourite fighters.

Bundu is awkward in the sense that he's not easy to hit clean, he's defensively awkward, Maidana throws awkward shots but he's always there to be hit. He will leave more openings for Thurman to counter.

Bundu is a good fighter, a former Olympian and a solid amateur, people are underrating him because they'd never heard of him until the fight was announced. I'm not saying he's a world beater but he's a solid top 15 welterweight and on the same level as somebody like Guerrero.

Perfect fight in my eyes put it on a ppv card next yr it puts alot of pressure on the main event it gives dana a chance to proove he was only boxing the best a win of thurman puts him right back in the top 5 WW'S with a title if thurman wins it proves he is ready for a big fight against one of the elites!

BoxingScene.com ran a story on Saturday where hard hitting Marcos Maidana’s fight with Keith Thurman, which was rumored to have fallen apart, was still being negotiated between Golden Boy Promotions and Maidana’s manager Sebastian Contursi. While Contursi and Golden Boy are indeed still in negotiations, it’s not for a possible Thurman fight for Maidana. Rather they are negotiating to find a replacement opponent for the Argentina native.

Ducked Thurman to fight Karass back in 2012

I understand all that you're saying.. just don't se how Bundu was on the same level as Thurman.. and I don't know how you can say he's defensively awkward when Bundu pressed the fight.. left himself open plenty of times.. just like he got put on is butt at the beginning.. yet Thurman didn't capilized on anything.. just moved sideways and pot shotted.. Maidana on the other hand.. has shown signs of boxing abilities.. timing Floyd was one of the thing I never imagined doing.. and I'm sure if Thurman decided to move a lot vs no power bundu.. I can only imagine what he'll do when he gets hit with real power..

People were booing the whole fight, not because of Bundu, who was coming forward all night, but because of the way Thurman fought, or should I say not fought all night! The kid back peddled, circled and damn near ran away all night. Everyone I was around was expecting fireworks from him but were really disappointed in his fight.
im the first to defend someone who boxes but when all u talk about his how your going to walk thru and ko everybody im sorry but your ass is getting booed when u retreat it is what it is

Bundu has very good upper body movement, he was feinting a lot, keeping his guard high and tight and not throwing many punches, so no he wasn't leaving many openings.

Thurman has fought bigger punchers than Bundu, like Chaves and Karass, he moved in those fights as well but they were there to win, so they left openings for Thurman to exploit.

Anyway, it looks like Thurman vs Maidana will happen sometime soon, so lets wait and see.

thats what happens when ur fans are built on over matched knockouts from a guy who says hes gonna knock everybody out who was retreating all night
