Big budget movies release at certain points in the year because those points maximize their revenue. They release a new damn Skylanders game before Christmas every year because it maximizes their revenue. They put big boxing fights on Cinco De Mayo weekend because it maximizes their revenue.
Why in the hell, would the biggest fight in boxing not want to maximize their revenue on the most advantageous PPV day of the year? It is numbingly ****tarded. Even if the difference in sales would only be 100 or 200k, at $75 a pop that is still a lot of damn money to miss out on.
