But why would HBO go with a fight that projects (based on recent sales) to sell somewhere in the neighborhood of 600-750k when they would (in theory) split half of a fight projected to do 2.5-3 mil PPV sales, especially considering the significant difference in the live gate?

I could see if Floyd was younger, but in a year Canelo and HBO will likely have the date anyway.
