The statement of Arum "disrespectul to Mexicans" is ******. But it is OBVIOUS what this is about. Maximizing revenues for both fights. If they go at the same time, both lose money. The fact is Canelo talked about May 2 way before Mayweather "accepted' Pacquiao's challenge. Canelo is Mexican. Of course he would want to fight on May 2 for his people. And the fact is he said it first. Much earlier than Floyd's posturing now.

So Mayweather insisting that the fight happen on Mayy 2 is OBVIOUSLY another road block. Why can't he fight on another date? They could fight way before May 2 or way after. Why insist on May 2 when it is not going to be beneficial to either group?
Because it is another excuse for the fight not to happen.

Mayweather is unbelievable. What's worse are fans who buy his bullsheet. If they really are fans and not paid TMT employees.

      TBE - Total Bullsheet Exemplified

May has been fighting the first weekend of May for years....That's enough

It sure as hell isn't Cotto/Canelo. They will not outsell Mayweather-Pacquiao on any date and nothing in their history suggest that. It's time to stop fantasing about Canelo being a big draw. He isn't.

i dont see the issue, may-pac will sel whenever, but hopefully it gets solved so the fight can pull through
nothing will get solved, this is mayweather, not only does he want his date, he wants his money and he wants his TV network, not realising that a networkfar bigger than Showtime will not want to lose out on hundreds of millions of dollars.

          Floyd is shook.

Swings & rounabouts here. . . but your logic of it being disrespectful to Oscar is essentially what Arum meant. But Arum did say previously he was going to make this Floyd/Pac fight happen no matter what with no excuses. . . So which one is it going to be?
            lets put it to this

            what if ur arum
here comes floyd offering u a flat rate 40m deal take it or leave it may 2

here comes oscar future business partner dealing with future fight match, future millions, disrespecting this guy would mean ruin ur plans together

now which of the two should u choose....?

LMAO at how people ignore these threads. Arum has always been the main roadblock. Why people deny it is sooooooooooo confusing to me.

u have to know how greedy arum is to figure this out

its not about arum being a roadblock
its more of floyds fault for being so hard to negotiate
high ego, wont give a reasonable offer, has a lot of demands

everyone knows arum is greedy, now how do u deal with a greedy person?
giving that person a flat rate offer will for sure make that arse hole refuse to give up his future deals with oscar by disrespecting him

                  1. Canelo is not the draw he thinks he is.....If he wasnt fighting Cotto Floyd could take that date away fighting a nobody

                  2. Bob Arum is making up another excuse...he been talking all this shlt about Floyd, and fighting him and as soon as he says he wants the fight all of sudden he wants to respect mexicans

Non sense. Mayweather is a distant second to blame. He has made compromises in the past and something else ****** comes up like erecting a ****ing stadium...
