Geale was a former champ, Stevens was a live opponent, Macklin had been a very solid performer at the weight...Thurman has beat, Chavez? That's about it.
Zaveck was a former champ, although I agree with you in that Golovkin's opposition has been better than Thurman's since Golovkin has a couple of top 5 guys on his record. Thurman coming for the top guys though and I'm not betting against him.

If oscar is playing promoter which it seems he must be then ok . If oscar is being a fan then he's way off,I like thurman so far but it's thurman that relies more on power of the two.

The funny thing is if Golovkin did go 12 rounds and have to go through some tough times in a fight people will say that means he was over rated or a hype job, not many people will see that as a good thing and give him credit for it.

Lets be honest, when you beat guys with ease you are fighting bums but if you battle through a tough fight and get a decision you are a hype job and got exposed, I don't agree with it but that's how it is now.

The problem is nobody will give an honest opinion or give a fighter they don't like credit, its always some negative bull**** for guys they don't like or some over the top nonsense and excuses when it comes to fighters they do like, there is no pleasing boxing fans.

            Finally, someone with reading comprehension.

GTFOH!!! Thurman is good, no doubt but most of Oscars or Haymons fighters are just noises for now and was either exposed or KO'd by elite fighters. 3G is a top tier proven fighter..just like the top 5 pound for pound boxers. Thurman is a puncher with speed but hasn't really fought a live dog, put him with Khan,Lucas or Maidana then talk.
