I'd 10000000x rather see GGG-Canelo but the casual viewers won't so it wouldn't land the may date.

Golovkin will never have a huge Kazakh crowd buying out arenas in the US so he will never get to be a diva on the level of these guys no matter how much better he is in the ring.

Cotto's career has been mediocre for years but he's filling a niche so it doesn't even matter. He could just roll into the ring and lay there crying and guys would be parading in coconut bras screaming "king cotto" the next day. Until a new PR star takes his niche, then everyone will abruptly forget he exists.

do you even follow boxing?. Cotto is 36 year old fighter who always loses to top level opposition. Canelo is 23, here to stay for a long time, longer than cotto and is the cash cow here. What fight grossed more PpV sales? canelo/may or cotto/may?.
