Canelo is fu king ****** if he thinks Cotto will agree to all that garbage that they proposted! 50-50? Cotto wont agree to 50-50 in a million years and he would rather fight someone else than agree to 50-50 on the split. The only things cotto will concede is the venue because he knows that in vegas he can make more money and the catchweight since he has no problems with the proposed 155 pound weight but outside of that Cotto will counter with 60-40 on the split, name it Cotto-Canelo, a 15 million guranteed, the ring size(freddie roach wants a big ring) the beer sponsor(Cotto signed a huge deal with tecate recently and Canelo wants his beer to sponsor the fight). At the end of the day Cotto aint desoerate for money he proved that by taking on martinez.

Don't be so sure. Gaby is an attorney. And as one myself let me assure you that his lips are sealed tight until authorized otherwise. Well hear from either mayelweather or cotto when and if they announce. Just cause gaby says they aren't talking doesn't really mean much.

From a business standpoint if neither may or cotto haven't spoke about a rematch then they both need to fire their managers. That rematch is one of two fight available for both fighters that spells $$$. Cottos only other money option is Canelo and mays is pacquiao. Not discussing the rematch is a blunder of epic proportions. I strongly suspect they have spoken. Whether it materializes that's remains to be seen.

I would agree that Canelo has to concede all of that except venue, date, and top billing. 60/40 for Cotto, beer sponsor for Cotto, higher guaranteed money for Cotto, weight, gloves, etc for Cotto. I think Canelos names first is a big part of the negotiation and I think Cotto knows the fight being made on a big Mexican holiday will bring in more money with Canelos name first.
