so? khan also wants to fight manny and floyd and he keep looking like crap every time he steps up. when is amir fighting a real threat? anytime soon?Yet he wants to jump straight back in with Manny Pacquiao in 2015.
Former world champion Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) would love to return to the ring in a major fight in 2015. Maidana is coming off back to back pay-per-view fights with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas. Maidana lost a close twelve round majority decision in May and then lost a spirited twelve round unanimous decision in September. Pacquiao is going to defend his WBO world welterweight title on November 22nd against undefeated Chris Algieri in Macau, China.
Nahhh Thurman has too many KOs.Comment

You are ill informed my friend. Maidana's team asked for opponents, They were provided three names one of which was Thurman. Maidana's teams first choice didn't pan out so they selected Thurman because they never heard of him, there was a tentative agreement. When Maidana's team received tape of Thurman they immediately pulled out of the fight, claiming it was a Haymon conspiracy. Maidana's teams claimed they only wanted a tune up and Thurman was not a tune up, however Maidana went on to fight 3 tune ups after that and still has not fought Thurman. This is a duck and cannot be denied.too many KOs? maidana has too many KOs too. have you seen maidana/alexander? that's the maidana thurman wanted to fight.

And I'm sure Thurman takes Maidana out in the mid rounds with a body shot.
Here's a link.
BoxingScene.com ran a story on Saturday where hard hitting Marcos Maidana’s fight with Keith Thurman, which was rumored to have fallen apart, was still being negotiated between Golden Boy Promotions and Maidana’s manager Sebastian Contursi. While Contursi and Golden Boy are indeed still in negotiations, it’s not for a possible Thurman fight for Maidana. Rather they are negotiating to find a replacement opponent for the Argentina native.Comment

Maidana is a HUGE BIATCH. Just another pu$$y that all the peasant argies blindly love.
But when you take a look at reality, all Maidana does is duck fighters, and NEVER EVER fight any punchers. Ducked Bradley. Ducked Thurman. Refuses to consider fighting Matthysse even though people have been begging for that fight for ages.
Maidana is a little coward who got lucky because some people decided to exploit the delusions of Broners ability to fight at 147.Comment

So, what? What the hell does this even have to do with Khan fighting a threat to begin with? Way to go move the goal post and change the subject buddy.
The point being made was that: you complain that Thurman is calling him out after 2 straight losses, but Maidana himself has no trouble jumping in with Pacquiao. If he is ready to fight a P4P champion like Pac and say the fight doesn't happen then sure why not go back and erase that duck stain off of his career against Thurman. The subject isn't about earning ****, but ducking. Do you not get that?
Maidana pulled out of a fight against Thurman, which is way way worse than just being called out like Guerrero. There is no way spin that. Just like Khan did with Alexander last year.Comment

So you're just going to flat out ignore the time when Thurman called Maidana out after he beat Broner, huh? You know, when Thurman was also his mandatory at that point?
I wish people stop being in denial about guys ducking Thurman. It's very ridiculous.
So you admit that some boxers are too reluctant to fight him at 147, yet it's Thurman who "doesn't have the balls"? That makes no sense. Thurman shouldn't have to move up if he's not ready. Right now, he's comfortable at welterweight (a stacked division) so it's the fighters who needs to make a move, not him.Okay, when is the last time Maidana fought a big power puncher?
........ Never, is the correct answer. Maidana aint fugging fight Thurman. Thurman will need to make a name for himself with a bigger name, he can always do this by going to 154 for a fight, fighters there will not be as reluctant as they are at 147. He could fight a big name at 154. But Thurman doesn't have the balls.
I really think a slick boxer has his way with Thurman. I think Devon Alexander would;ve beaten Thurman.Last edited by Mr. Punch-Out!!; 12-12-2014, 05:30 PM.Comment
