If Cotto and Floyd want to be middleweight champion of the world they need to fight GGG at 160lbs, not each other at some ridiculous cooked up catchweight.

What if its Mayweather vs Cotto at 160
The winner would still need to beat GGG at 160 before he could claim to be the middleweight champion of the world.
Delahoya has backed himself into a corner, cause if cotto decides to fight in NY for the puerto rican day festivities, Where does that leave canelo? Who would he fight on cinco de mayo weekend that would draw customers over a floyd ppv. If cotto fights floyd in NY for the puerto rican day festivities at the Barclays for the Middleweight title who cares about cinco de mayo? Cotto would make more money, have a home field advantage, and a chance to beat the #1 guy in the sport, and they can laugh at all that energy Oscar put forth to get a ppv date that wont sell much compared to Floyd vs Cotto in NY for the middleweight title the money/match not the date matters
The first problem to that theory, is that Floyd will never fight outside of Vegas
Don't Pretend To Know More About Promoting Than Oscar
Saying Oscar is backing himself into a corner??? How many fights have you promoted???? Oscar is interested in promoting the best fights. Whether they are the largest in terms of PPV, isn't the same thing necessarily as the best fight to promote. Cotto wants Canelo and vice versa. They've been looking at Texas stadium, not necessarily Vegas or LA. So I doubt your expert analysis is shaking at best. And if they can't agree with Cotto, who wouldn't want to see Canelo fight GGG, or Chavez??? Canelo and Gennady would make that fight in a heartbeat. So if you don't like Oscar, great... Go chase Al Haymon who won't let any of his guy's fight anyone presenting a risk. And for the record, Floyd doesn't have a big enough sack to fight Manny.
LOT=lopez36;15181141]not a bad idea,,,,ppv new arena in mexico city,,,on may 2nd,,,it would still do good and floyd can fight on july or feb which is black history month[/QUOTE]
That'll be perfect imo as long as Canelo fights in Mexico on a Mexican network telemundo or whatever channel they have....

"Think about it. Who really ran Golden Boy? I'm not talking about popping up in the office once or twice a year. Who was there, doing the deals, on a day-to-day basis," Oscar own buddy
****** for that fool to think he is wiser than Oscar. Oscar has co-promoted the last 10 fights for a reason; he has a good understanding of the biz.
You know he wasn't promoting he was just the face the guy is dumb as Floyd
