WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather had allegedly encouraged rapper and close friend friend Earl Hayes to leave his wife over alleged infidelity just minutes before Hayes gunned her down in their Los Angeles apartment, according to multiple reports.
Mayweather was reportedly on FaceTime with 34-year-old Hayes when the rapper used a gun to kill his wife Stephanie Moseley, a television star and back-up dancer for stars including Beyonce, before turning the gun on himself on Monday morning.
Hayes, who was once signed to Mayweather's record label Philthy Rich Records and was a close friend of the athlete, was said to have been distraught over his wife's alleged infidelity, according to TMZ.
One of those alleged affairs was said to be with singer-songwriter Trey Songz two years ago and, while Hayes and Moseley had since reconciled, Hayes never got over the incident, the website claimed.
