I wouldn't really call Pac a B-side in this. If this fight happens Pac is just as much a draw as Mayweather is.
Pacquiao sold 300k buys, and Pacquiao fans have found a way to warp themselves into thinking that Pacquiao is still in the same conversation with Mayweather. lol.

When Pacquiao signs to face Jessie Vargas, I'm gonna laugh so hard watching you try to defend that garbage too

If Pauly believed he was good enough, he'd negotiate the best terms that he could get and he'd take the fight, without question, imo.

$100k is what Austin Trout is likely to get for his ESPN fight coming up. The idea that you think that Malignaggi would just take ESPN money, when Star Boxing/Banner just got $1.5m to bring in Algieri and Malignaggi has a far bigger name/fight resume is laughable. The $1.5m offer is simply a realistic figure for a PPV opponent coming in with somewhat of a name.

No one is saying that Pacquiao has to fight for free; Pacquiao said that. Beyond that, Floyd isn't going to walk away with a $200m, for the simple fact that the fight is massive but not otherworldly.

For even the fighters to share $200m, the fight would probably have to do $400m on PPV, nearly three times the revenue generated for the current record.

With the actual fight now, in most bookie estimations, being 3:1 Mayweather, the idea that the boxing audience is going to pay triple in revenues for the fight is laughable.

      60-40 would be a fair purse for Pacquiao-Marquez 5.

there's no way that 60-40 is fair after Pacquiao drew a rumored 400k PPV buys for the Rios fight and a rumored 300k PPV buys for the Algieri fight, while Floyd had PPV "flops" of rumored 900k PPV buys for the two Maidana fights.

I wonder If Showtime thinks that Floyds last two PPV'S were a flop considering there Is a rumor that suggests they lost 16 million dollars.

Is 900k considered a flop when compared to 2 million against Canelo?
Did Canelo have anything to do with the success of Floyds PPV?
Will Pacquiao have anything to do with Floyds PPV success If In fact they should ever fight? If so what Is a fair purse split?

10% of the smartphone and tablet owners in China will spend half a week's wages on PPV doe. At least it is down from Top Rank's laughably optimistic projections from the Rios fight based on half the smartphone and tablet owners in China buying a PPV

There is a difference between Manny saying that he is willing to take less compared to you thinking that means Manny should get nothing

                  • Wow, Paulie went in hard. If Paulie was doing HBO instead of Showtime, I'm sure that he would be singing a different tune.

                    You don't accept anything.

If Paulie was with HBO, he would have said that Floyd is losing money for Showtime, Manny is making money on his fights.
