lol floyd beat canelo clearly, he made him miss a lot but he never walked him down. there were 30secs in the 7th or 8th rd i think where floyd teed off on canelo on the ropes but when canelo answered back floyd backpedaled and potshot again lol. and that's about it regarding walking him down

I can agree to a sense... but manny's fans would have a better case had pacquaio not "officially" lost to bradley or get knocked out by jmm.. since he lost twice in the last 2 years it hurts pac fans cases to say he still deserves a 50/50 split or even saying he brings alot of leverage into negotiations. Truth is pac will have sum say, because they both need eachother to cement their legacies but at the end of the day it will be floyd who dictates the terms hence making him the A side in the equation.

The offer was for $40m, with Pacquiao having $20m in his pocket before he even opened up his camp.

You count Floyd's guarantee of $35m, and the event is already in the whole $80m in payouts, on an event that has yet to sell one PPV buy or one ticket.

The event would need to generate $170m in PPV revenue to simply break even.

All the fanciful talk of the fight bringing a $1b in revenue aside, the fight would have to match the current PPV record for Mayweather to end up with the $40m that Pacquiao was offered just to sign his name and show up.

People have talked themselves into believing, so hard, that this is a billion dollar fight that they've blinded themselves to the reality that the most financially successful fight in modern history only had the fighters splitting up $90m.

Pacquiao - $40m; Floyd -$50m + the upside. 55/45 split, based on the numbers brought in on the most successful fight ever.
