Problem is, he doesn't have to. He has other big fights out there that will pay well (maybe not as well) too.

It's funny how the career journeyman, Cotto, thinks he's the A-side in all of this.

He's got the belt that Ginger wants, that makes him A-side. Canelo may be the biggest name in boxing one day, providing he doesn't get schooled again. Right now this fight is massive because of both guys, but Cotto's that champ so he commands the negotiations. It's fairly simple really.

Imo their draw and star power is pretty much even. If Cotto is being unresonable (which from some of t he stuff I read, he is) then **** um. Canelo doesn't need him. I think Canelo beats him comfortably anyways. I'm pretty sure, you do too.

Why do you care who calls the shots? The only thing anybody should be giving a **** about is the fight getting made, the terms in why the fight gets made is the least of anybody's concerned

its funny to me how people think this fight can actually force a Floyd-Pac fight. How? Floyd & Pac are 10x bigger stars than those guys and both of them are 0-3 against Floyd/Pac. Neither of those guys are going to make moves because Canelo-Cotto are fighting eachother.

It trips me out how people think Floyd with a guaranteed contract will be forced to fight Pac because of those 2. Floyd could care less about either guy. He has a huge ego, he's beaten both of them, and he didnt even care about Canelo fighting on his undercard. Floyd might fight Pac but its not going to have anything at all to do with a Cotto/Canelo matchup

It wouldn't force them to fight each other, but Canelo-Cotto will be a bigger event and outsell fights like Pacquiao-Vargas & Mayweather-Khan or any other shit fight those two want to offer us. Especially since those three fights will most likely happen close to each other.
