Martin Murray doesn't have the firepower to keep GGG off of him, but he is big and skilled. He's getting stopped by the 5th round
Exactly. He is big and skilled, and GGG will still use him as his personal punching bag. That's how good Golovkin is.

Murray beats any MW not named Golovkin. He is the second best MW on the planet and should be the legit lineal champion.

Golovkin fought a top 5 MW in Geale last year and two fights later now he's fighting the #2 MW (IMO) in the world- if you include the champions and rate them higher cause their champions... Top 5 MW, at the least.

I do admit that if Golovkin doesn't fight Canelo after Murray I will be very disappointed. Canelo HAS to be next and then after Canelo there is no excuses not to move up. Yes I do believe GGG is a small MW and don't think all fighters have to move up.... But after beating Canelo (I think he will) there is literally nobody left at 160. None of the other titlists want to fight him- he would clearly be the best MW/Lineal champ and cleaned it out with the top fighters who were willing. Maybe only if another champ steps up and wants to unify with GGG in the later part of 2015 would I be okay with him not moving up.

If not and there's no unifications, after Canelo he has to move up. That's where all the big fights are. I also think he's good enough to clean 168 out. And on top of all that that will be the icing on the cake for him to get full credit from many fans and solidify his GOAT MW/SMW status.

GGG's 1st defeat will come as a surprise just like Tyson's did. The first man who is not scared of him and punches back with bad intentions will defeat him. He carries a huge psychological advantage into every fight because of his "destroyer" reputation. That will change!!!!He just hasn't face anybody who can keep him at bay with power shots! Not sure that Murray is that guy!

Murray is very underrated on NSB, but Golovkin still stops him imo.

Have you ever seen Murray fight or do just remember articles of his draw against Sturm and him nearly winning against Martinez. Are you a Golovkin family member or do you just enjoy the thought of him pounding you from behind whilst calling you 'good boy'.

I kinda figured out you don't know shit if you think he's the second best in the division but again, that supports your agenda. Murray's a top middleweight based on his size and the lack of depth at 160, his skill or therefore lack of doesn't really enter the equation.

Silly question. I actually watch boxing, of course I saw him fight. I've saw every Murray fight for the past 2.5 years. Besides his most recent one. Also for the record: Sturm beat Murray, IMO. Bogus draw, I think.

Call it what you want but you just said it yourself. "Murray is a top fighter at 160."

That's all that needs to be said. Golovkin can't be blamed for who's in his era. Murray/Geale being top fighters at 160 is basically Froch being a top fighter at 168. Except Froch beat Pascal. I'll give him that.

There's no need for Murray to hype this fight -- the Monte Carlo attendance will be packed with Russian local mobsters... Rivers of champagne, vodka and caviar will poor at the after fight party...

The one word that sums up Martin Murray is 'flat'.

Go watch his fight against Spada, he looked poor and didn't really know how to fight him. I remember seeing him against Achour and wondering what people see in him.

As I said, Murray is a top fighter based on the lack of depth in the middleweight division. I wouldn't say he'll be Golovkin's best win, unfortunately though he'll be one of the best.

Froch being a top fighter at 168 is because the division was stacked and beat 'em all apart from Ward. Murray hasn't actually beaten anyone of note, his claim to fame is nearly beating champions... kinda like how Tiberi nearly beat Toney.

If Golovkin was so good, we'll see him moving up to 168 some time soon. I think it's ridiculous to claim greatness on his part when he's not fighting the best fighters that are within 1 weight class below or up.

I don't want to hear **** about size, 'cause he's meant to have the skill to negate that variable.

No... I agree. I just said in one of my recent posts ITT that I'll be disappointed if Golovkin doesn't fight Murray-Canelo and then move up. Unless he gets another unification after Canelo, but I highly doubt it (assuming Canelo wins)

It's time to accelerate his career. After Murray, it HAS to be Canelo. It just has to. Then after Canelo there's nothing left. Everyone will agree he's the best MW, he would be the lineal MW champ and he would have cleaned out the division. All of the other titlists besides Taylor had opportunities to fight him before and rejected.

168 is where the big fights would be and where the extra credit would be. Beating the top guys at 168 would give him the credit of everyone else who's not sold on Golovkin because of his lack of resume, for example. I do not believe fighters have to move up to be considered "legit," and I do believe GGG is a small MW/could fight at 154 if he was like other fighters in the sport today..... But I believe he is good enough to clean out 168 and beat everyone there. So, like I said.... if he doesn't fight Canelo next and then move up to 168. Huge disappointment from me and I'll have to reevaluate what I think about his management team/handlers. At this point in time, I love them because Klitschko's are great promoters. But if he doesn't get Canelo after Murray and then move up...... It's Loefflers fault and he's gotta go.

Here's the link you asked for

                    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReeKQrocMb0

Roach said he wants Canelo, Mayweather, GGG for Cotto. He said the money is not right for a GGG fight right now so an offer of 80-20 actually makes sense if the rumors are true.
Chavez stopped mentioning GGG. Its not happening anytime soon, whatever his excuse.

What kind of bull**** is this link? You said an offer was made, not signed by GGG. This doesn't support it at all, are you fcuking kidding? But hilarious attempt lol.

I got this sneaking su****ion they're going to feed us a few more fights like Martin Murray and waste time fighting the likes of Heiland, Lemieux (if he beats Rosado) etc.

We'll have to see what happens with the Alvarez-Cotto situation and I don't think Froch wants any part of Golovkin so it's only really Ward at 168. What the fuck is Ward doing though...

He will never be in a more frustrating situation than we are with the likes of Mayweather-Pacquiao. We happen to have the best two fighters of this era in the same weight category and they won't fight each other - bullshit.
