Yes sure they took sergio to the ER in nyc to see how his knee was doing, *** the specialist they have in nearly every hospital in nyc

No, he's still a joke. No one is knocking his balls, heart or courage he just isn't a very good fighter and that's what this guy is saying. Canelo is about as average a fighter you will see be so popular. He throws good combinations and has a lot of heart that's about the only qualities I see in Canelo, truly. He has pop too but it's overrated.
He's stepped up his game and he's lost 3 of his last 4 fights in the process according to some people. I think he beat Trout but Lara won that fight just to give it away and anyone can beat Angulo, he's a D class fighter. He's got heart but his handlers tell him to stay away because they know he isn't very good and only want him to lose to guys like Floyd and Cotto so they get a check.Comment

Yeah his knee was messed up, but you're acting like Cotto was in his prime when they fought.
Cotto isn't what he used to be after those career altering beatings he took from Margarito and Pacquiao. Anyone with a pair of eyes can see the regression of Cotto compared to his prime days. Yet, he moved up in weight to take on a bigger foe who hadn't received the type of punishment Cotto has and beat him from pillar to post.
I'd also like to know, how does having a bad knee has anything to do with the fact that Martinez got absolutely rocked by a left hook to the head? Just stop cluttering this thread with your hate. Two semi shot fighters went at it and the underdog came out on top, deal with it.Comment

A couple of things.
1. The fight should be done at 160. Nelo needs to quit the bullshi% of trying to make the fight at 155.
2. The fight should not be in Texas, nor should they try negotiating for Texas. Cotto won't agree, so might as well drop it.
3. Everyone knew that Cotto was a hard person to negotiate with, but Canelo has played a part in letting Cotto be the A side here. Cotto went out and looked sensational against Martinez, and Canelo chose to fight boring a$$ runner Lara, and didn't close the show. Only has himself to blame. He should have negotiated to fight Quillin or Marco Rubio, fighters who he would have KO'd.
Other than that, everything else should be ironed out, and the fight needs to get made quickly. Every boxing fan here want this fight to be wrapped up before the new year, that way the pressure gets put on Mayweather to make the Pac fight.Last edited by JJRod; 12-03-2014, 05:13 PM.Comment
