He did a specific knee treatment to diagnose the problem and it was documented!! All you go on is the ****** MRI. The battery of the tests he did trumphs the validity of the MRI because it was a more of a in depth test on a specfic area.
And I believe Martinez was well aware of the status of his knee because he woulda done anything to get in the ring with Cotto.Comment

Roach always speaks disrespectfully in the media about his fighter's opponents. Because he's an absolute jerk.
Point being, before the fight, Roach knew Sergio was no good anymore:

By the way, it isn't really case closed. First of all Cotto did 375k with Martinez, and Canelo did 350k with Angulo and 300k with Lara. Considering Cotto was coming off back to back losses and a tune up the buy rate is basically what Martinez got with Chavez Jr.
The only advantage Canelo has is the Floyd number and Canelo had the luxury of fighting in Floyds shadow for like 5 fights to give him that number. All that being said he's had at best 3 million buys. Cotto has 3 million buys in just two fights with Floyd and Manny... That's not counting Martinez, Mosley, Margarito I and Margarito II buys which put you at another 2 million (and I still left out Judah and Paulie numbers which are another half a million or what Canelo just did on his own.) Canelo can ask for 50/50 but when he gets turned down who is he going to fight? Get fed to GGG?
Canelo needs the Cotto fight more than Manny/Floyd need each other at this point. Yes sure they took sergio to the ER in nyc to see how his knee was doing, *** the specialist they have in nearly every hospital in nyc

Martinez was shot to **** and absolutely ruined... he was still the favorite. We can do this all day, people knew all about Sergio being old and broken. Rusted, creaking and spraying that WD40 all over as he walked to the ring. He was still favored, you guys still picked him and he was supposed to win. He didn't it, get over it.Comment

That's supposed to be an insult? I mean, the guy who won that fight is nothing but a forgotten memory and the que*r dressing, pink wearing loser is in the best position of anyone else in the sport. I'd promote anything pink to be in his position, Margarito would do the same just to see out of one of his eyes one last time.Comment

Holmes and Camacho weren't moving up in a weight and weren't underdogs. And Cotto is the real MW champion because he beat the guy. Is he the best MW? No. Would he beat GGG? No. He's still the lineal champ, it's amazing how many people can't handle this loss. It's been what 6 months now and you guys are still trying to come to terms with it? We were over the Marg loss much faster than this.Comment
