Pretty much. DLH was expected to win. Not many thought Manny would. Manny was considered far too small, certainly too small to KO Oscar.

I don't think it was the weight, it didn't help that is for sure. Speed difference, that is also down to age, but Manny was waaaaay too fast at that point for Oscar. A far younger Oscar would've fared better, but at no weight was Oscar going to beat Manny on that night.

Oscar could've rehydrated, put on some weight between weigh ins and fight night, like 90% of fighters do. Fighters rountinely put on close to 20 lbs.

Oscar choose not to, so he could be faster and less sluggish, so he could keep up with Manny. If he had put on that weight, he would have even less chance. His chin would hold up better, but he didn't lose because of his chin, he lose because Manny was too fast and accurate.

If heavier he would've still lost, perhaps he would've lost even easier.

There's no dis*****g that he was drained, but it was his own fault. Oscar was the A side in the fight and got everything he wanted in negotiations. He's the dummy that decided to only rehydrate 2 pounds and weigh in at 145

yeah I remember at the time, De La Hoya was criticised for cherrypicking a small Pacquiao and people expected Pacquiao to get killed thinking he was crazy to take the fight...the way it turned out shocked almost everyone

Nobody is saying that. They are saying being drained is not the reason he lost. Whether he was drained or not, he would've lost.

And, like it has been pointed out, Oscar is the one that choose not to bulk up between weigh in and fight night.

So clinging onto he was drained, implying Manny won because this, and that he took advantage of Oscar, is ******ed, and is only something all the embarrassing lovers of women beaters, fans of Floyd, claim.

Everyone is a genuis after the fact. But I remember before the fight, people had Oscar winning. Nobody was buying into the Manny hype yet. Even after the fight, friends were saying how it was "surprising" that Pacman won.
