^This. What ever was up with Oscar that night (drained? drugs? too many late nights out wearing fishnets?) no one can deny Manny was very impressive with that huge upset stoppage victory.

I really think this was the fight that Floyd watched and made up his mind 100% not to fight a prime PAC. I know you can't compare their styles but their fame and status were similar, and it had to be in the back of Floyd's mind, the thought of "going out like Oscar" might have been what scared him the most.

Was Oscar drained? You could debate till the cows come home. What's not debatable is Floyds version of Oscar was a much better version than who Manny fought.. But regardless both was impressive wins..

        Three things:

        1. Even Freddie Roach insisted ODLH was drained and saw rehydration marks on his arm. There shouldn't be any dis*****g that Oscar was drained and way overstepped the mark to try and cherrypick a little dude for big money and had it backfire badly.

        2. Yeah it was still a masterclass performance by Pacquiao and one of the best displays of his skills in his career.

        3. One part drained, one part Pac in the zone and disciplined and one part matching up well with Oscar because he's a left hand dominant orthodox stance fighter. Those are perfect for Pacquiao's style and abilities and that's been shown over and over before and after the ODLH fight.

Summary: No sane person should be trying to refute Oscar's being badly handicapped by his own dumb fault or that Pacquiao isn't a great boxer who displayed great skills regardless, but he was fighting a stylistically good fighter for him who was badly weight drained. Everything matters, all the details.

He tried to rehydrate late so he would be small for the fight night weigh in HBO stat..

So surely the Marquez Floyd fought was just as good as the Marquez pac fought by your logic

Assuming Marquez was not on steroids against Pac (I think he was) then yes.. bad style for Marquez, Marquez cannot lead.
