You are right-but they are not being made by anyone except for a few occasions. As for the battered wife thing-that clears up your opinions.
You seem to have decided how you feel about him based on frivolous stuff like Berto's purses on HBO. Some of the fights he was in were damn good.

You judge people based on the product they give you. Haymon gave little to nothing this year and should be judged on that. As for 2013 and next year, same thing-judge on what he did/does.
Yea who am I to judge him on PPV fights like Salka vs Garcia and Lamont vs Edgar Santana.

Nope don't care about Berto's purses at all, or anyone else's for that matter. He had a lot of leverage with HBO at the time and used it to put ***** fights on most of the time.....a lot of wasted Saturdays for me. I really enjoyed watching Cotto come up and thought he was matched great, I can't think of one Haymon fighter who compares to how Cotto was brought along.

Fact-he's put on way more showcase cards than anyone else....I just don't get why any of us boxing geeks would support that.

those were not ppv fights. and those fights have passed. as I said he did nothing this year and deserves every bit of criticism for it.

If he makes all the fights you or any other poster wants next year how will you judge him then?

Jesus, it's not just this year dude. If he starts making great fights all of a sudden I'm on board, no doubt. I like boxing after all first and foremost and don't really care who puts on good fights as long as someone does. He has put on the MOST showcase fights by far over the last NUMBER OF YEARS and deserves the flak for it.

That's because promoters develop fighters managers make fighters money. Haymon, to this point, hasn't gotten in with a fighter from the ground floor. He comes in and signs fully developed fighters. So to expect him to grow a fighter the way TR or King did is foolish.

No he hasn't -the promoter has. Haymon, as you have pointed out, has final say for all his fighters. So I would expect credit for good cards and crap for crap cards. No more, no less.

Haymon was never an issue until Yahoo, SI and other places named him the most powerful person in the sport. That is IMO what most of the backlash is about. Arum has done similar things for years and the response hasn't been this strong.

I get it-Haymon gave us **** this year and blocked potential fights while dealing with the GBP lawsuit fallout and getting the NBC deal. All we know for 2015 is Stivernne and Wilder are fighting in Jan, that's a good fight that Haymon is a part of.

              Lets see what else happens.

Nah, they were not PPV. He made a mistake on that.

Otherwise, Maidana had a great year financially. And that was the point. Bye bye now.
You are the one who quoted Manny getting 6 million... You brought it up, it simply didn't re-quote it in the thread.

See, this is the problem with Haymon guys they are just flat out incapable of certain thinking patterns that every other human being on the planet is capable of accomplishing. Maybe it's a form of ******ation, someone should do a study.

You said facing Floyd gave him his biggest payday, unless he fought Manny. Is that what you need Al Haymon for? I don't need Al Haymon to know that, of course I know that facing Floyd would be your biggest payday. Is this your sales pitch? In the same breath you say how much Arum sucks and how good Haymon is yet, the guys facing Manny (Not as big a draw as Floyd) get more money than facing Floyd.

You said Al is doing great, that's fine. But Bob is obliterating Haymon because he gets his fighters a 2-1 ratio for facing Manny than Haymon gets his guys for facing Floyd. By the way... "then maybe there's a case." That's exactly the case I was making was involving Manny and you tried to defend then tried to back off of it. Martinez made as much as Maidana did when he fought Cotto... so yet another example of how terrible Haymon is. Hell, Sergio, Bradley and Algieri also got to wear the gloves they wanted as well as making more money. Yeah, Haymon is doing fantastic.

ok. if this is your position I can't argue with it. I would disagree about volume of showcase fights. You used Berto as an example. Since Jan 1, 2009 he fought

                    collazzo
                    urango
                    Quintana
                    freddy hernandez
                    Ortiz
                    jan zaveck
                    ghost
                    soto karass
                    Steve Chambers

Is that really as bad as you claim? Some of these have been great fights.
