I think, after all the interest has built up again for this fight, if they don't find a way to make this fight, there will be a HUGE backlash against both Floyd and Pac. Their numbers would suffer. People don't want to hear about anyone other than Maywether vs. Pacquiao.

There is nothing wrong with what Arum's saying here. He said Vargas is a possibility if the Mayweather fight falls through but even then he would prefer for Vargas to have a couple more fights on HBO before he puts him in with Pacquiao. I breathed a sigh of relief.

But then Arum says "I'm going to leave no stone unturned in making the Mayweather fight" and that just makes my heart sink. It's those extreme statements that make me think he's BS'ing again. A week ago, he was dissing Mayweather. He talks about Espinoza not being "allowed" to talk about negotiations yet he keeps talking freely about any meeting he's having. I thought the Espinoza interview about Arum was very telling. And the fact that he tweeted that offer (something he probably never should have done) and said that they have not heard back from Arum since. If there is a 65-35 offer on the table, Arum better ****ing take it. Or else it will be Vargas or Crawford next and that would be absolutely in excusable.

IMO there is something wrong with him mentioning Vargas' name PERIOD in reference to Pac. Let's be honest here, this is a COMPLETE MISMATCH! He MAY be ready for Pac after Pac has declined a great deal more and he has improved, but why would anyone want to see that, when there are so many other fights to be made? Garcia? Broner? Or, stop w/the 140 garbage and make some fights with the big boys(Thurman, Porter, Maidana, Khan)

I know one thing. If they do make Pac/Vargas and I ever hear another Pac fan call Floyd a "cherry picker who only chooses fights he know he will win", I'm gonna lose it!

In other words Arum will walk away from the negotiation table, the moment an opportunity presents itself, and make the fight with Vargas for June.
