As much as I like Kovalev, he still has much to prove.. he would probably have to move up to HW eventually and beat Wlad impressively to be considered an ATG. He no longer has as many opportunities to dare to be great..

If he can reign at 175 for 2 or 3 years then move up to Cruiser and dominate up there he could end up being a great fighter. What if he wins a Heavyweight title one day, he's only been in the pro's for for 5 years, it could happen.

Bingo. No one even knows who those guys are. ATG'S are known by everyone. 0-10 people you walk up to on the street knows Kovalev. Zero. Zilch. NO ONE. Lmao@ATG. Keep dreaming little boy.

LOL. Yeah. He did so much outslicking on a literal grandfather. More like outmuscling. Bernard was sitting there statiinary was getting savagely beaten by the younger stronger boxer.

If he reigns long at LHW and perhaps wins a title at HW some day, I guess we might discuss it if the wins match up. Highly doubtful, though.

A career like that could get him HOF, though.

People don't seem to realize how hard it is to be recognized as an ATG. To crack the list of true ATG fighters at LHW will be hard enough, that's a very prestigious division, and to be an overall ATG is ridiculously difficult.

Maybe if you include Andre Ward if he moved up and then maybe a championship at Cruiser

Ward/Kovalev has to be on the horizon. Ward can't make 168 forever, especially with all the inactivity.

you gotta be sniffing paint. he beat hopkins (who's 50 and at the total end) the other guys in the division aren't quality enough wins to be "ATG" not even HOF
