      Sure he could. Look what he just did to Hopkins. No other fighter of all the good and great fighters Hopkins has fought ever came remotely close to beating Hopkins so completely in such a one sided fight. He won every round with ease with his smart boxing and incredible power. Kovalev takes a good punch, boxes well and hits extremely hard with both hands to the head and the body. He doesn't seem to have stamina problems either.

        Why does he have to give up 25 pounds to fight at Cruiser to earn greatness? Hagler, Monzon, Bob Foster, Zale, Pryor and many others are considered great fighters and never moved up a single pound. If he fights and defeats all worthy light heavyweights for the next 4 or 5 years and retires isn't that greatness?
