You're kidding yourself if you think that's true.

Khan still doesn't do great numbers in the UK anymore, those are the simple facts. No one are getting in line to show Khan fights. He had a 3 fight plan with BoxNation and they chose not to extend.

Of course he's more known than Kell Brook, but it's not like Khan is the star he was when he came out.

          If I think what's true?

BoxNation chose not to extend his contract? Really? Source?

Or his contract with them was over and Sky put in the highest bid to show the Alexander fight because they want to build towards the Brook fight.

          Sounds far more likely.

That Brook is only known in Sheffield.

Well according to Amir's buddy Saj or whatever his name is, who did an interview with either secondsout or IFL tv after the Collazo fight said that BoxNation had an option to extend and said something about Hearn talking bollocks because he knew Khan would be fighting on BN and therefore Brook-Khan couldn't be made.

That is also an option. Either way, people are still not queuing up as you could imagine when it's announced 2 weeks before the fight that he's on their network.

Lol when Khan fought Garcia they couldn't give tickets away literally!

Brook sells just as many tickets as he does and that was before he won a world title. Khan fans like to make out he is this huge draw he isn't, people only tune in to watch the chinless wonder get knocked out & that is exactly what will happen when Haymon stops cherrypicking feather duster punchers for him to fight.

Brook isn't that well known outside of Sheffield. Let's be real. Who even watched the Porter fight? Khan is a household name - it isn't really close in terms of that between those two.

Why would BoxNation choose not to extend the contract of the most well known British fighter in the world? Yet they're showing Terrance Crawford this weekend? Obviously they couldn't match or better what Sky offered.

I'm not saying Brook is as well known as Khan is. Far from it. But all of his fights have been showed on Sky Sports in the last 3-4 years and has been involved in some heavily promoted fights like vs Hatton and Porter. He's clearly getting more popular around the country.

Well, I would imagine that Crawford doesn't cost them anywhere near the amount of money that Khan does. So it's a question of value for money, not necessarily who offered most.

So they couldn't afford to show Khan but Sky could? There's no way that BoxNation would "choose" not to show Amir Khan.

Securing the Khan fight was clearly important to Sky, cuz of the Brook/Khan angle, a fight which will be on Sky

A few people on here made a point that Sky wud try and get Khans next fight after Brooks win over Porter.

Khan and Sky had a falling out, they are clearly trying to build bridges.

Boxnation probably cud not match the offer

Sky nicking the fight was on the cards soon as Brook beat Porter
