I don't expect this fight to be remotely exciting, Alexander has a gift for clinching away any potential entertainment.

However, it's good to see Sky getting some more fights that are based internationally. With the exception of GGG, they haven't had too many recently.

As for Carl, the guy is tremendous.

Again changing the parameter of discussion to fit your own agenda. While the Diaz bout was a disappointment for a Khan UK fight why don't you tell me about this:

      - Khan had a 10,000 sold out arena against a journeyman in Michael Gomez for the Commonwealth title in Birmingham.

Amir Khan beat Michael Gomez in Birmingham but showed that he is not yet ready for a title fight

      - Khan had a sold out area of 16,000 against McCloskey in Manchester.

      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/oth...McCloskey.html

-Khan had a 20,000 sold out arena in his fight against Barrera in Manchester.

Khan has chosen to establish himself in America and fights in Vegas. Neither help his case of getting big crowds. However, with the aforementioned numbers in perspective are you honestly going to tell me if Khan had brought over Judahs or Petersons it wouldn't have done similar if not better numbers?

Khan was a millionaire before turning pro and has been getting paid insanely since, so big crowds or not it doesn't affect Khan.

He's almost the forgotten man of Brit boxing at the moment and a lot of that is his own fault.

In terms of Froch, this is a question for everyone: how did this beef start? Cos I hear Froch talk more about Khan than the other way around, what's up with that?
Froch been upset over Khan getting too much coverage and attention since his debut. Even after winning the WBC belt from Pascal, Froch wasn't getting much, so he'd trash Khan, especially after his KO loss to Prescott.

When Froch lost to Kessler, Khan told him to quit and he'll get him a job hanging posters for Khan Promotions.

Back and forth here and there.

Froch however, seems to be the one always having something against a guy he can't fight to begin with. Only if he was that vocal about Ward, the guy who actually beat him with one broken hand over 12 rounds of domination.

I was just using each fighter's last 3 fights as I believe this is the fairest indication of a fighters current popularity.

The reason Khan turned pro at 18 was for money yes, his family placed huge pressure on him to do so.

Regardless of each fighters wealth, Froch would (over the last 3 fights) clearly be deemed more popular in the UK.

For Khan's last 3 fights he has had one fight in the UK at a relatively small venue, one fight in LA at a relatively small venue and one fight at the MGM Vegas on Floyd's undercard.

Floyd has much more money than Manny - who is more popular?

10 Years ago I used to score with 7/8's regularly, sometimes even a 9.

10 Years later I have to settle for 6/7's, that's life.

              You see how it works?

We all had better, more successful days - just like Khan did in 2010/11.

Since then Khan has struggled badly against lesser opposition.

Surely you can't argue with that?

Olympic medalists turn pro almost within a year building on that momentum. Degale, Campbell, Joshua etc. If Froch had won a medal at Olympics he too would've cashed out asap.

That is a great comparison and a very fair one.

I was responding to the he couldn't even sell out Sheffield point. Cuz what I interpreted was that Khan can't sell out anything, hence the numbers and articles I posted to prove otherwise.

I've already stated the reason why Khan is not popular in UK anymore as he has chosen to establish himself in U.S., but if he was fighting here and bringing these names across the pond he'd do just as well as shown by the precedent he has set. Khan is easily more known in U.S., which is safe to say is a bigger deal as that is where all the big fights happen. I mean after all Froch does want to fight in Vegas don't he?

As for the Manny/Floyd point, I think both are equally popular, because their popularity (or notoriety) has grown off of each other. Manny-Floyd is like a compound word.

I'll say what I have said since the fight was made.

                    Khan should beat Alexander.

If Khan gets another beating, what will YOU say?

                      Devon over the hill doe.
                      Didn't come to fight doe.
Porter loss was still on his mind doe.
Khan was too dominant, so it doesn't count doe.
