He's from NY, and he's a good looking guy. He's also going to be a lot more marketable after this fight. He will be back in more big fights and we will see then how good he is.

Really depends on what he does from here. He may do absolutely nothing and this fight may be remembered as a joke, or he might rack up some significant wins. Time will tell.

Algeri did not earn *****e, just like Provo would not have deserved a fight with Manny. Brandon Rios had not earned a fight with Manny. Can we stop giving Bob Arum a pass? I mentioned that in my first post in this thread. And what Manny says means nothing, since he has nothing to do with picking his opponents. Bob Arum picks his fights. Which is why that crap was scheduled last night. Lastly, the ball has been in Bob Arum's court since then broke off negotiations to fight Clottey.

Seriously, a Provodnikov fight wouldn't have been any better. Not sure why the Prov-Algieri winner was lined up to face Pacquiao next. But the cold war is over, right? Right? So hopefully we get some good fights for Manny to close out his career because it's not ending well right now.

hard to tell what he is to be honest. His footwork, jab and defense was praised but to be honest, Manny has better footwork and better defense. Not a knock on Algieri because Manny is elite.

Would like to see Algieri against the likes of Lamont Peterson, Alexander and Jessie Vargas

Algieri-Alexander would be terrible. Algieri vs Peterson is a good fight.

you damn well know its the same old same old with Floyd:

                He'll criticize Manny's latest fight

                "Chris who?"

He'll talk about how much more money he made and his PPV buys.

He'll talk about how Manny needs to sign with TMT first.

And lastly he'll hype up his actual next fight like Danny Garcia or Miguel Cotto 2.

"Danny Garcia a young lion who is undefeated, never knocked out like Poochiao."

"Miguel Cotto is a warrior. His loss against Pacquiao didnt count and he gave me a helluva fight. Lets do it again because the fans want to see it. I always give the fans what they want."

                blah blah blah

I dont for one second believe Mayweather is considering Pac next. He already has his next opponent not named Pacquiao lined up.

He's not a bum and he would give a lot of guys problems, but he did not belong in there. He should get some more TV dates so we'll see what he's made of.

I think Algieri would beat Vargas so if they were lining him up to be an opponent for Pac, then I guess I can't complain too much about Algieri. Although, how anyone thought that Algieri was actually going to beat Pac is a little beyond me.

Hahahaha. JMM made some noise against Elite fighters.....He sent one of your listed elite fighters into a deep sleep and got robbed in their previous fight.

If Pacquiao is/was elite then JMM is/was certainly elite too.
