Is this even a question? Mayweather/Cotto would squash Canelo/GGG, GGG isn't a draw yet by any means. He put 9k people in seats, but he hasn't even been on a big PPV undercard. No casuals will buy that fight if it's up against Floyd/Cotto.

um taking a wild guess but maybe the fight that people hasnt seen yet will be the bigger one (canelo vs ggg)? why would a rematch between floyd and cotto be bigger than canelo vs ggg espeically on cinco de mayo too?

Cotto prefers to work with Top Rank, with the exception being Mayweather. You can't even compare a win against Canelo to what it would be like for Cotto to beat Floyd. When Cotto beats Canelo people will say he was overhyped and had his ankle cut off and re-attached right before he entered the ring. Being the first person to beat Floyd will instantly put Cotto in ATG status.

Who said it has to be bigger? It will do a lot more than at least 50% more buys than Floyd's last two fights. That's what matters. You can think Cotto only won 2 rounds or whatever crap fl*mo's think, but Floyd admitted Cotto was his toughest fight, the rematch would be even closer and really... Floyd has slowed down more than Cotto has since their fight. In fact, I'd be inclined to say Cotto has gotten better while Floyd has gotten worse since that fight.

Personally, I think Cotto's in much better physical shape today at the weight under new strength conditioner McMillan than he was then. He looks better offensively too under Roach.

I want to see Cotto-Canelo and FMJ-Pac but if Cotto-FMJ II is made, I'll be interested. Just my own view.
              Exactly how I feel.

Also, to respond to the whole Cotto and TR thing. Cotto is free to do what he wants. I'm sure he'd prefer to work with TR, but don't be fooled. Cotto is a businessman. If he gets offered a massive pay day and another shot at Floyd, he'll take it. He wants it, and Roach wants it.

we all saw floyd vs cotto already and while cotto did good compare to floyd's pass opponents besides chino, i dont think a rematch is gonna have much interest compare to a canelo vs ggg on cinco de mayo. and if floyd admitted cotto was his toughest fight why would he want to re-visit that again?

Well, first of all, its on Cinco de Mayo. Mexican fans would probably prefer Mexican style. Second, GGG is riping for big PPV. His first ever PPV can be a smashing hit by may of next year. Support from Mexican fans he gets is unreal.

agreed! floyd vs cotto 2 cant compete with canelo vs ggg if its on cinco de mayo. im pretty sure most if not all mexicans will buy the canelo fight instead.

Dunno, but I assume it'd have to be double digits and he'll push for more money because with Canelo they can get more leeway.

Showtime more desperate for that big money fight.

Also... if he holds his the month before, get ready for 3 straight months of PPV's
