I thought he was a free agent.
he's a free agent but i believe top rank promotes his fights for him or something like that. i did remember cotto saying he's gonna work with TR for the remaining of his career.

"I began as a professional boxer with Top Rank. They made me the boxer I am right now. I'm a loyal guy. I think of them and who else better to finish my career with than Top Rank? ... I was a free agent and I'm still a free agent. I worked with [Golden Boy]. We made our arrangements and we worked together easily. That's it."

The crazy part is, right now Floyd needs Cotto more than Cotto needs Floyd. Cotto has lots of power at the bargaining table if Floyd wants to fight him.

Floyd has already beaten Cotto pretty decisively

Why do we need to see it again?

A fight for the lineal MW title is just eye-candy for Floyd's resume but no real substance

              Not exactly set in stone.

One thing I know is Cotto wants the Mayweather rematch, he's alluded to it a couple of times.

he said he'll work with TR for the remaining of his career but that doesnt mean he cant work with another company. he even stated working with GBP. it just looks like he'll side more with TR but he's also free to do what he wants.

He won the rounds, but it was definitely hard-fought bout. No walk in the park.

Personally, I think Cotto's in much better physical shape today at the weight under new strength conditioner McMillan than he was then. He looks better offensively too under Roach.

I want to see Cotto-Canelo and FMJ-Pac but if Cotto-FMJ II is made, I'll be interested. Just my own view.
