Not exactly. While I agree that Ray is a real welter, he started his career as a lightweight at age 19. Floyd started his career as a superfeatherweight (130) at age 19 as well. Technically, Floyd started his career as a lightweight too as he came in at 131 for his first fight.

But who cares? Is what Freddy is saying controversial? Hell no. Most every single real boxing fan that has watched fights and studied history would agree that Ray Robinson at 147 would decisively beat Floyd at that weight. So would Sugar Ray Leonard. So would Thomas Hearns. Should I continue? Nobody believes that Floyd is the greatest of all time. Nobody believes he is even the greatest welterweight of all-time.
