i would love for bhop to come full circle and end his career at middleweight and take on GGG.

GGG finally gets a famous name. bhop goes out like a fcking G taking on another avoided ko killer. goes 12 rounds, maybe even does better and give GGG some much needed seasoning, fight is action packed all the way to a 12rth round final bell ko by GGG catapulting a new star and putting down an old lion....

how badass of an ending would that be?

as for who those guys are - Froch currently holds the IBF and WBA Super MW titles, Abraham with the WBO and Dirrell with the WBC

while Golovkin vs Hopkins has been talked about in past, I don't see anything to gain by it from Golovkin's end of it. Outside of a violent KO, what does Golovkin gain from a fight vs Hopkins? I don't see much

if the Chavez Jr-Froch talks die again, I say Hopkins vs Froch, and NO don't have it at 170, have it at Super Middle for Froch's 2 belts, provided the IBF doesn't strip Froch first.
This could just as easily mean that he's dragging a smaller opponent up to Light Heavyweight

        I think Hopkins should retire

Hopkins would take the rather limited, basic Carl Froch to school, and win a wide UD. It's a good style match-up for him.

I imagine he'd beat Arthur Abraham fairly easily too.

But can Hopkins actually win a world title? He'd need to make 168 to take a belt.

Hopkins could make 168 without being drained I think. 160 is way out of the question.

Yep, GGG needs a name and Hopkins is still a name which would help him. 160 or 168 either way they can come to a compromise since GGG is desperate for a big name.
