  • Hopkins is the real champ, he's a MVB (most valuable boxer)

A lot of people were saying he should retire, using his low offensive output against Kovalev as a reason, but I strongly disagree.

What a lot of people fail to realize is that Hopkins had to fight that way not because he's old and incapable of throwing more, but because he was fighting a dangerous guy who he respected. Kovalev made Hopkins respect him with power and as a result, Hopkins didn't open up much.

Make no doubt about it that B-Hop is in tip top shape and is capable of competing at the top level. The fact that he went the 12 with Kovalev proves it.

    • Perhaps the most disciplined and dedicated fighter of all time. He was back in the gym two days after the Kovalev fight. He eats, ****s, and breathes boxing

Interestly, Froch mentions Bernard Hopkins as a possible alternative to Ward in this article.
The article that you are quoting above reads Ward stating as it follows:

“If Eddie Hearn and Carl Froch really want the fight, they can call my manager and let’s talk about it. I don’t know if that is in the US or the UK. They need to show me how bad he wants it here, and why it makes sense for me to come here.”

Therefore Ward was addressing the money issue as he was ready to fight in the UK...
