I got money on rounds 7-12 Kovalev stoppage. Pascal always gases late and im pretty certain Bute had him in serious trouble in round 12 of their fight.

Bernard Hopkins will working with the HBO commentary team for this fight as RJJ will be in the corner of Pascal. Interesting what he's got to say as he has fought both fghters. Sorry if this has been posted.

***8226; Future Hall of Famer Bernard Hopkins, the former middleweight and light heavyweight champion has been added to HBO***8217;s broadcast team of the fight between light heavyweight titleholder Sergey Kovalev and former champion Jean Pascal on March 14 (9:45 p.m. ET/PT) at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Hopkins will work as an analyst alongside Jim Lampley, Max Kellerman and unofficial scorer Harold Lederman. Hopkins, of course, has faced Kovalev and Pascal. In his last fight in November, he lost a decision to Kovalev in a unification fight. Hopkins fought to a draw with Pascal in 2010 and outpointed him in their 2011 rematch. HBO***8217;s usual expert analyst on ***8220;Word Championship Boxing***8221; telecasts is Roy Jones Jr., but Jones serves as one of Pascal***8217;s trainers and will be in his corner.

You think he could build a following there if he beats Pascal and Stevenson, would they turn out for him?

I'm not sure, but I'm sceptical as to whether he'll become a ticket seller in the States.

Not a big ticket seller but a ticket seller nonetheless. The Canadians are the most passionate crowd from what I've seen and they would surely like Kovalev if he manage to stop Pascal impressively.

Kovalev will need to call out Stevenson after the fight like always and we could have the May/Pac of the light heavyweight division.

The "result" was kind of impressive (through Cloud was never anything special and he was washed up when he fought Beterbiev) but when I watch how he fights there is absolutely nothing that stands out and impresses me about him...If anything it just shows how **** the Light Heavyweight division is compared to 140-154....I understand that some guys have sneaky power that doesn't look hard on video, but is extremely hard in the ring, but I just don't see much of anything in Beterbiev.

Kovalev is going to **** Pascal up. Nothing against Pascal, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm actually kind of hoping Pascal puts up an effort that shows us something new in Kovalev.

The guy was a very good amateur, you might not see anything in him but he clearly has a lot of ability.

Hell KO-ing Cloud who had never been legitmately KO'd inside 2 rounds in his 6th pro fight tells its own story.

The fact he's facing two top 10 guys in his first 8 pro fights is proof of enough. Only Lomachenko of late has gone in that deep that early.

Pascal's only chance that I can see is if he hurts Kovalev early and often, and Kovalev gets tentative enough to fight at his pace. Doesn't seem likely to me.
