In my view, Ward is the greatest freakish monster that boxing ever delivered... And I don't mean to be rude, sarcastic, ironic, disrespectful, slanderous a.s.o.

    I said here before:
Ward is extremely intelligent, athletic and crafty... But he was so unlucky as he had his right shoulder injured since he was like 12 years old... They didn't perform surgery on him because he was too young... That resulted in Ward developing a "twisted boxing style' of his own -- an inverted southpaw stance, one handed power punching (i.e. with his left hand) and all the dirty tricks needed in order to hide his actual infirmity...

I would have to say Ward, hands down Ward won the super six THis was Kovalev's first test and the more decorated vet in the twilight of his career took him the distance...Dawson was stopped by Ward....this is the first time KOvalev has gone beyond 8 rounds. Kovalev can be hit lets not get beside ourselves hopefully he gets another big name soon to see if he's legit.

I think Kovalev is more known in the US than Ward at this moment.

Do average fight fans even talk about Ward anymore?

No man -- Ward is a national hero there... He's (I suspect) the last Olympic gold medalist in the U.S....

Kovalev has done a lot more in the past few years than Ward, who has had one fight in two years, against Rodriguez.

The Super Six was several years ago now.

Sergey has a much more fan-friendly style than Ward, he doesn't need to hold his opponents' arms constantly and wrestle.

                  Ward's wins in 2013 and 2014:

                  UD Rodriguez

                  Kovalev's wins in 2013 and 2014:

                  KO 3 Campillo
                  KO 3 White
                  TKO 4 Cleverly
                  KO 2 Sillakh
                  KO 7 Agnew
                  TKO 2 Caparello
                  UD Hopkins

Obviously Kovalev has done a lot more LATELY, with wins over 3 world champions in the past two years.

Kovalev is the A side, Ward seems to make bad decisions lately, if he can get this fight he should be thankful and hopefully not deystroy the negotiations by making demands based on winning the super 6.

No one cares about Andre Ward. Kovalev is the A Side.
