Algieri represents a younger, hungrier generation of boxers hoping to take down Pacquiao but Freddie Roach believes the WBO welterweight champion has the speed and skills to retain his title.
The undefeated American earned his shot at Pacquiao, who has held “world” titles in eight weight divisions, by getting off the canvas twice to beat Russian Ruslan Provodnikov on a split decision in June. The victory improved his record to 20-0.
