Both sides can go back and forth all day about who's greater. What cant be disputed is who's the more respected fighter. That honor goes to Hopkins hands down!

He traveled up to Montreal 2x to beat thier champ in his own home town. He travled to NYC and whooped on Tito in front of a sold out MSG packed with rabid puerto ricans on the eve of thier day. He whooped on Kelly Pavlik when hardly anybody gave him a shot of doing so. He whooped on Tarver when many said he was too old and would get beat.

Floyd on the other hand wont dare leave LV. He's went on the record to say that he and his team do a terrific job at (cherry) picking and choosing his opponents. He's come up with 101 excuses to not fight Pacquiao. He threatened to pull out of a fight the last minute unless Maidana changed his gloves. He's went on the record to say that he dont care about what the fans want and how he's not fighting to prove who the best is. Etc... I can go on and on but everything about Floyd has been beaten to death here! We all know his M.O

You are deflecting. This poll, like others here on NSB, only shows that so many posters that label themselves real boxing fans have opinions that drastically differ from those who truly are real fans and show it by actually working in and around the sport.

It matters not who they are its about ducking someone who is a threat.

Margo scared Jr to death, the past video of their meeting proved that.

Retiring to keep from fighting Cotto proved the Duck. Excuses only satisfy those that make them.
Mang, bhop is ahead imo... but hopkins didnt fight the euros fighters he should of when they were talked about and obviously in their primes like felix sturm, and arthur abraham... he skipped an entire division of challengers at 168, like a kessler Or beyer...he didnt fight bute.......he didnt take the 60/40 split vs a primer roy jones...he has a rep. For faking injuries in fights..... so i mean hes done some bad as well....... but can you name one bhop fight that was exciting, and name one ppv where he has broken records like floyd??? Lets give floyd a little credit mang.

But Floyd didn't fight fighters as good as Pac did, like Barrera, and Morales, you can say that's not Floyds fault as the fighters in his division just weren't good enough and Floyd was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
And Pac being smaller has beat just about everyone Floyd has beat, Floyd has not gone out of his way to do things other people cant do, apart from not koing people, that is what Floyd is good at.

Floyd doesn't ko anyone as devastating as Pac did. It all adds up to detract from FLoyd. He needs to justify the hype but he never had any urgency to. He didn't fight Sergio, or GGG at 160. To show people who had faith in him why he should have been proclaimed above and beyond his peers.
All Floyds got to boast is an unbeaten record without taking risks.

Traveling isn't always about courage, its about maximizing the gate to maximize everyone's profit, including the fighters. Bhop had no choice but to travel for his biggest fights as the other fighters were more popular.

The 2nd paragraph just illustrates my point before.

This is not entiely true, alot of people dont like bernard because of his excitement value, lets be honest here hes boring, his style is very akward, and dirty at times, hes faked injuries in fights and milked fouls in fights.....believe it or not alot of fans dont respect that......

Pac never fought sergio either, why because he was just 2small....floyd is too small for GGG too, i dont even know why people are demanding that fight..maybe cause GGG said he can make 154 doe????if floyd is being pressured by the fans to fight GGG then manny should too.... floyd and manny have been fighting in the same weight class for 5 years straight now..

Hopkins said that Floyd is in the top three pound for pound.
